BRANEN HURST

Vice President of Construction

As Vice President of Construction, Branen provides day-to-day leadership and management to BerryHutton’s single-tenant construction team, overseeing the operations and successes of the office and the field.

Born and raised in Dalton, Georgia, Branen obtained a degree in construction management before beginning his career in the construction industry in 1999. In 2012, Branen began working for Berry Construction as a project manager where he worked on renewable, commercial, and industrial construction. During that time, Branen became highly interested in the intricacies of the design and construction of the company’s renewable energy projects.

He left the company in 2015 to pursue those interests and spent the following seven years gaining experience on the preconstruction and business development side of those projects. For three of those seven years, Branen lead a subsidiary company specializing in foundation and civil work for utility wind farms. He helped grow the company from $5M in 2019 to $100M by 2022.

In 2022, Branen re-joined the BerryHutton team, bringing with him renewed business acumen and leadership experience.

Effective planning and time management are of utmost importance to Branen, and he carries those qualities into his personal life as well. He and his wife have three children and spend most of their free time at various sporting events, but they would not have it any other way. When he can, Branen sneaks in a round of golf or two to take a break!
